Doing Okay

I'm sorry that I haven't had anything new to post lately. At the moment, I'm spending a lot of time on other things - looking for a day job, dealing with unemployment paperwork, and studying comic writing and PHP/SQL.

I've got a good idea for a way to satisfy that last mash-up poll but it has turned into an idea for a much longer work and I don't think I could do it justice with my usual non-verbal comic style so I'm working my way through some books on writing for comics by Scott McCloud and Peter David.

The PHP/SQL project is for something else entirely. I keep getting job offers from people looking for someone to develop websites and web-based applications. Plus, I would love to learn how to make Flash-based games that can persist from one session to the next like a Facebook game. So I picked up a "for Dummies" book and I'm getting started on learning that.

I hope my recent silence hasn't made anyone worry too much. I'm still alive, I still have a home, and I still have a wonderful partner. I'm just exploring other things at the moment. It's the curse of being too multi-talented - I get easily interested in wildly different projects.

Thank you for your concern but please don't worry. I'm doing okay.
