I'm sorry that I haven't had anything new to post lately. At the moment, I'm spending a lot of time on other things - looking for a day job, dealing with unemployment paperwork, and studying comic writing and PHP/SQL.

I've got a good idea for a way to satisfy that last mash-up poll but it has turned into an idea for a much longer work and I don't think I could do it justice with my usual non-verbal comic style so I'm working my way through some books on writing for comics by Scott McCloud and Peter David.

The PHP/SQL project is for something else entirely. I keep getting job offers from people looking for someone to develop websites and web-based applications. Plus, I would love to learn how to make Flash-based games that can persist from one session to the next like a Facebook game. So I picked up a "for Dummies" book and I'm getting started on learning that.

I hope my recent silence hasn't made anyone worry too much. I'm still alive, I still have a home, and I still have a wonderful partner. I'm just exploring other things at the moment. It's the curse of being too multi-talented - I get easily interested in wildly different projects.

Thank you for your concern but please don't worry. I'm doing okay.

Dov, if you want any assistance with said poll comic (I'm an alright writer) send me a note. :) I am glad you are well, and Merry Christmas.

Scott McCloud is a brilliant guy. I recommend getting his Zot comics if you can.

I have the full run of original Zot! comics and the trade paperback collections as well. Zot! and Cynicalman got me back into reading comics after six simultaneous Spider-man series got me out.

Cynicalman, lol! His little xeroxed stick figures. Yeah that was funny too. I really miss Zot though. I think there were only ten or so.

No, no. There were 36 issues. I think only the first 10 were in color, then there was the Zot-Cynicalman cross-over mini-comic, then 26 black and white comics.
