Mermaid on the Rocks

Here's an exciting new ad for the Glue Brand Glue that so often appears in my work.

I know you're wondering "Are they going to come back?" and I promise you that, yes, that's exactly what he's wondering, too.

Painting the water was a lot of fun but killed my hand! Next time, bigger waves so that I won't have to paint quite so many of them. I used tips from Jesus Conde's Water Tutorial.

The shiny rubber mermaid tail was fun! I wanted something sexy and mermaidy but also bondage/fetishy so it's a mix of mermaid tail and garter belt. The style also makes it easier to see important features.

For the shiny tail, I used doxy's Shiny Things tutorial but I don't think I followed it very well. I need to experiment more to get a good sense of how to draw shiny things.
 

For the clouds, I used Crimsonjassic's Simple Clouds Tutorial. It's super easy and I used it for most of my clouds.
